HoWLTA will be holding its AGM on March 14th, online at 2pm, 14:00. Members on the email list will have received details recently. More details to come in the Spring newsletter due out well before the meeting.
Have a Welsh Bus Pass – use it on the Heart of Wales line over the winter, free travel until 31st March. Better views with no leaves on the trees.
There are now departures from Swansea at 0729; 1048; 1450 and 1747, 5th train ex Carmarthen at 0443 (Llanelli at 0512).
From Shrewsbury at 0554; 0835; 1131; 1600 and 1835.
The early train from Llandrindod now leaves at 0605. The similar Llandovery train leaves at 0641.
Saturday: the same times except no early ‘short’ services. Sunday just the 2 through trains. HoWLTA continues to lobby for better Sunday services. HoWLTA has been told there will be an extra early train in bith directions for 6 weeks from August, broadly the same as in 2025.
With the extra rail services the X48/48 bus schedule is reduced north of Llandrindod.
Departures at 1205 and 1520 from Llandrindod, the later service going through to Shrewsbury.
The return services from Craven Arms at 1350 and the Shrewsbury at 2135.
The late bus from Shrewsbury looks like a useful change, no worries for missed connections late at night.
The Active Travel trains are now running some services on the Line. These units with 10 bicycle places plus seating are attached to another unit.

What Do You Save Every Day?’
A Railway, possibly.
